Men's Ministry

"...The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."
(James 5:16)

Our mission is to assist the men of the First U.P.C. of Bartow to grow in their
relationship with the Lord.

We desire to help them to:
1) Be men who love the Lord Jesus Christ with all their heart
2) Be men of integrity
3) Be loving husbands to their wives
4) Be loving fathers to their children
5) Be men who are willing to serve others as Jesus did
6) Be witnesses of the love, grace, mercy and forgiveness of God to all they come in contact with.

We strive to accomplish this by:
Providing men with weekly small group Bible studies that include a time of worship,
the study of God's Word, prayer and fellowship. In these small group studies, which
are offered on various nights, men commit to meet weekly for 9 to 12 weeks. These
studies are designed to cause each man to grow in the things of God and equip him
for works of service as a leader in his home and in the church.
Hosting monthly meetings for men to come together corporately for devotional teachings
in God's Word and fellowship time.
We hold various special events such as Men's Retreats and Conferences,
Men's Breakfasts, Special trips, etc.

The goal of all we do is to see the men of the First U.P.C. of Bartow stand together
in unity, committed to God, keeping each other accountable in their individual walks,
and holding fast to Acts 2:42-47:

"And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking
of bread, and in prayers. Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and
signs were done through the apostles... So continuing daily with one accord in the
temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness
and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord
added to the church daily those who were being saved." (NKJV)

We meet on the second Monday of every month at 7:30PM. We hope to see you there!
